Allamakee CSD was the first customer to jump on board with the new partnership between ICN and Zoom. The district has an enrollment of 1,100 students and employs about 200 staff members. All school buildings are located in Waukon, Iowa, which has a population of 3,900. The Zoom solution brought a reliable application which includes components of scheduling, digital signage, visitor management, virtual reception, workspace booking, and Zoom rooms.
Andy Reichard, Technology Director, explains the resources available during deployment, the importance of Zoom, and the benefits of the ICN.
Why is Connecting with Zoom Important?
Zoom meetings are important to our school because we use virtual learning on snow days, plus the myriad of virtual meetings our teachers have. We've now implemented Zoom phones, which are vital for our safety and communications.
Zoom Phones utilizes the full functionality of the backend phone system. Even though it is relatively new, it's fully featured like a mature on-premise phone system for easy and smooth communications.
Deployment Experience
Going through the on-boarding with Zoom, there was training on features, which were straight forward and user-friendly. The trainer became a technical contact, always ready to help.
There was some hesitation about transferring existing numbers, but the Zoom porting team made it a smooth and seamless experience.
When you partner with the ICN and Zoom, it brings undeniable benefits.
Benefits of the ICN?
ICN staff was in a transition to their Zoom partnership when we had already started with Zoom. ICN ramped up their communication with us and was as responsive as they could be on contracting and licensing. The communication has been steady, while we work out the kinks in our use of Zoom phones.
