The Iowa Telecommunications and Technology Commission (ITTC) was founded in 1994. Through legislation, it granted exclusive jurisdiction over the growth, oversight, and function of the Iowa Communications Network.
It's also responsible for overseeing the centralized and coordinated use of the Network. It ensures efficient and responsible operations, and delivering the best economic service possible within the state's financial constraints to its authorized users.
Priority will be given to educational users, as well as the design, use, and implementation of educational applications on the Network by the ITTC.
