The Iowa Communications Network is a state-of-the-art fiber optic network providing telecommunications services to its authorized users including high-speed broadband Internet, data, voice (phone), security, and consulting services. The authorized users of the ICN, under Code of Iowa, include: K-12 schools, higher education, hospitals and clinics, state and federal government, National Guard armories, and libraries.
Partnership with Iowa HSEMD to Merge 911 Networks
ICN will partner with Iowa Homeland Security & Emergency Management (HSEMD) to provide a private and secure network for 911 wireline (landline) calls.
Library Staying Digitally Strong with Increased Broadband
The Davenport Public Library is staying digitally strong by offering online services and public Wi-Fi for its patrons. A change was recently needed when the library and its users were experiencing slow Internet response times daily between 3 PM - 5:30 PM.
