Broadband in Rural Iowa Creates the Possibility to Transform Care for those who need it now.
As an eligible service provider, ICN can offer the following services to healthcare users:
Archiving System: A picture archiving and communication system (PACS) allows the consolidation and transmission of a large variety of image files.
Remote Consultations: Specialty remote consultations (e.g. cardiology, dermatology, and psychiatry) through video conferencing.
Tele-psych: Helps decrease the number of patients that are being placed in inpatient facilities. Patients are being discharged home with alternative plans using video conferencing, such as day treatment or outpatient counseling.
e-ICU & e-Pharmacy: Remote intensive care unit (e-ICU) and pharmacy monitoring (e-pharmacy) systems can help maximize efficiency for practitioners.
Remote Radiology Readings: With broadband, digital images can be read by remote radiology specialists within the hour after a scan is taken.
Video Conferencing: Educational opportunities provided by experts via video conferencing provides medical staff the ability to access the latest health trends in medicine while not having to leave their community to obtain the education.
