Our dedication has been providing Internet connectivity, access to Internet2, security services, and technical support to Iowa’s educational users. That user base consists of public and private K-12 Schools, Area Education Agencies, Community Colleges, Public and Private Colleges, and Libraries.

ICN's Education Landscape Connections

  • Serves 300+ locations in Iowa.
  • Connects to all 15 Iowa community colleges.
  • Partners with top 150 cloud content and large network providers.
  • Community Anchor Program Sponsor giving exclusive access to Internet2 services and research facilities.
  • K-12 education users benefit from funding provided through FCC programs, thereby reducing the cost of eligible services with ICN’s common carrier designation.

Iowa Class Selected for Distance Learning Scholarship

Congratulations to Ms. Seaba’s Kindergarten class at Jefferson Elementary in Muscatine CSD for being selected by Internet2 to receive a Distance Learning Scholarship. Muscatine CSD connects to the Internet2 network via the ICN. 

About the Internet2 Scholarships:

  • 38 teachers won 39 total scholarships.
  • Over 1600 students will benefit from the scholarships.
  • Each teacher will receive a free one-on-one interactive online course of their choosing from the Center for Interactive Learning and Collaboration (CILC).
